Summer 09’<p> </p> <p>Ashley and I went to Zion right before Skye was born and had the best time!  There was hiking, knitting, eating, and many Germans.  We hiked observation point, which is an 8 mile hike at the north end of the canyon, at it’s highest point you can see the whole canyon, and it is absolutely beautiful.  The hike up is crazy steep but you are rewarded along the way with beautiful slot canyons and cliffs.</p> <p><img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" height="347" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2669/3863299414_5e2887649f.jpg" width="262" /></p> <p>                         <img height="194" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3433/3862518955_2e021af0f5_m.jpg" width="247" /></p> <p>I was quite pregnant, but hiked it just the same, much to the </p> <p>surprise of many tourists.<img style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3489/3862518285_a57d33fff9_m.jpg" /> </p> <p>When we got to the top we were rewarded with this:</p> <p><img title="view from observation point" alt="view from observation point" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2596/3862519509_75ac9947a3.jpg" />                                                  <img title="Me and Ashley" alt="Me and Ashley" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2607/3863303016_12ee566a18_m.jpg" />      </p> <p>                                                          </p> <p>                    <img height="252" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2599/3863305040_8871efb37e.jpg" width="334" /></p> <p>At the top we stopped to eat lunch.  I sat down by a bush, and a man came up to me and said “stand up VERY SLOWLY.”  I stood up and moved away.  When I looked back, this is what I saw.  If you can’t tell, it is a very large rattlesnake under the bush that I was 2 inches away from.  I really didn’t like that at all.  Thank you foreign tourist, for saving my life.</p> <p><img style="display: block;
